Senior Portraits

Sunflower Studios Photography’s senior sessions are done at an indoor or outdoor location of your choice that should reflect the personality of your senior. We strive to capture THIS moment in their lives; what are their interests, their dreams, on the edge of leaving their childhood behind and taking that next step into a new and exciting unknown.

We try to incorporate things that your senior would typically do. This can be hanging out at home, going to their favorite coffee shop, or record stores or bookstores they frequent. It is incorporating their “real-life events” into their session. Please have them bring along a selection of clothing and personal items that represent their interests (athletic or dance equipment, musical instrument, art supplies, etc… you get the idea). We do not currently offer formal yearbook photos (tux or drape). Our sessions seek to capture this time in your senior’s life and are less formal than the typical “portrait session”. We are open to any ideas or locations that will best capture their unique personalities.

The two times of day with the most beautiful light for portrait sessions here in Virginia are early morning and just before sunset. We try to book all of our senior sessions at these times. We understand that sometimes work and school get in the way and we can always find a location with shade if the timing isn’t ideal.

I am a firm believer that the natural interactions between my seniors, their families and myself will help capture a more complete look at who they are than a posed session in a studio with artificial props. In 10, 20, 30 years I want the images that I provide you to remind you instantly what your senior was like at this moment in time. Truly turning moments into memories…

Your senior’s session fee includes the photographers time, talent and travel, a password protected online proof gallery, and professional editing/retouching of images. Digital and print packages are available. Contact us for more information. Session fee: $300
